Facing Feedback That Made Me Reevaluate

I wanted to share something a little personal today — and a big lesson I’ve learned the hard way. And one I keep making, grrrrrr!

I received lots of positive feedback from my recent workshop, but I also received constructive feedback to improve.

A participant shared :

' It was A LOT of info, I feel overwhelmed. I wish it were simpler O_O'

When I look at the event schedule below, they are right. It's totally jam-packed. O_O

When I run workshops, coaching, and create courses, I pour everything I know into them. Literally, I don’t want to hold anything back. I want to give you everything so you can succeed faster.

But... this is a mistake.

I give too much information, all at once.
People feel overwhelmed.
Not because they aren't capable, but because it was
too much to absorb in one go.

And honestly? I get it.
Life is full already. The last thing anyone needs is a firehose of info when they’re just trying to take the first step.

So here’s the big takeaway I’ve learned (and maybe it’ll help you too):

Don’t overload your customer or reader with information.
Clarity beats complexity. Every time.

Give people just what they need to take one small, confident step forward.
Not everything they’ll ever need forever.

This applies to:

  • Blog posts
  • Digital products
  • Emails
  • Sales pages
  • Literally everything online

Keep it simple. Keep it clear. And always, always remember, people have a million things draining their attention and energy- pulling them in so many different directions, already.

This shift has helped me create better experiences, stronger results, and way less overwhelm for everyone (including me!).

For example today, my sweet neighbour asked how to monetise her cooking skills

I thought if 5 different ways that could work, but I only gave her ONE simple solution, one target market, and one price.

Thats it. One simple business idea that could bring in cash within one month.

I think I am going to further simplify going forward so it's easier for all of you to execute my tips and courses.

Hope that helps you wherever you're at on your journey right now.

You know the type. The person who slides into your DMs with “Can I pick your brain real quick?” … and suddenly you’ve written them a full consultation — for free. It happens to every business owner and blogger at some point. And while generosity is part of who we are, here’s the truth: you can’t build a sustainable business if you give away all your time and expertise, all the time. Since becoming a new mom, I've had to rein in my tendencies to voice note and message complete in-depth...

Recently, I haven't had the capacity to work on my blogs much :( It's summer and family time in Ireland, my 7-month-old wants to party at 2 am and 6am, and I think I have postpartum arthritis, which makes me feel so damn tired.all. the. time. O_O This is what summer in ireland looks like by the way ! Pretty awesome. BUT I've still been able to earn significant revenue by posting on social media Social media seems much easier when I am pressed for time A quick post, a pic on my IG story, or I...

You don’t climb mountains every weekend. You don’t have a pet llama in your living room. You don’t spend summers yachting in the French Riviera. And guess what? That’s totally fine. Because you don’t have to be wildly exciting to have a blog people love. The truth? Your readers don’t need fireworks — they need connection. Let’s be honest — my life right now? It’s bottles, naps, and the occasional solo trip… to the grocery store. Seven months ago, I had a baby, and suddenly my wild adventures...
