2 Pinterest Mistakes Limiting My Growth

I've realised I'm making a few mistakes with my Pinterest accounts, which are limiting my traffic growth.

Now I see them, I can't unsee them, O_O

It's actually a marvel that I was able to grow my Pinterest accounts despite these mistakes.

Just shows the potential with Pinterest!

Before I get into it, here's a quick sponsor

MISTAKE 1- I was targeted GOOD keywords, not EXCELLENT ones

Let's imagine you have a fashion blog, and you have a post on pink skirts

You target the keyword/ topic: Pink skirts

On the face of it, it looks like a good keyword as it shows up on the drop-down search of Pinterest, and there are lots of option.s

But I've been using this tool to find better keywords on Pinterest

It turns out, the search volume is nowhere near as good as other topics, such as :

Cute Modest Outfits, OR Soft Feminine Outfits

Look at the search volume between all three :

What can you do with this info?

1- Try the free trial of this tool

2- Get some high search volume topics for your blog!

MISTAKE 2. I was ONLY targeting Pinterest search topics, not Pinterest Interests

There are two ways for your blog to get found by users of Pinterest and get traffic:

a-When they search for a topic in the search bar, a pin comes up

b- When they are on their home feed, and Pinterest recommends pins they are interested in

Go to your Pinterest home feed; what do you see?

Pins you are interested in, because you have interacted with similar pins in the past.

My mistake: So far, I've only been targeting good keywords on the search bar

But I SHOULD also be targeting 'interests' so I can show up on the Pinterest user home feed

How do I do that?

By finding relevant 'interests'

Let's go back to the pink skirts example

Using the tool , I found the following related interests

How would I leverage on this info?

I would add these keywords to my Pin descriptions :)

I could also target them as separate keywords too

Honestly, go try this tool, I really like it!
