I have a 30- min window to write this email, maybe less My daughter is sick, so I am looking after her. When I peer out of my home office, I can see her happily reading and playing with her toys in the living room, but that won't last long. Actually, I have 15 mins to write this email, ha! Just wanted to give you an update on things I am working on, so you can see how someone runs an online business while juggling motherhood and life :) Work Update 1 The Affiliate to Income in person workshop went well! So much fun. Lots of great feedback and its made me realise how much I love and miss face to face training. With this in mind, I am taking a corporate trainer certification soon, so I can run my workshops for busy corporates and they can claim the fee back from their HR departments. We all win! I might turn this into a course because I know many people want to earn affiliate income but don't want to show their faces on social media or dance on TikTok. My workshops showed you exactly how! If you are interested in this, reply and let me know. Work Update 2- My Pinterest traffic needs love and attention. Quickfast. I can't ignore it anymore or it will continue to decline. I am dedicated to taking this Pinterest course next week, and I want to develop a proper plan to improve traffic. Work Update 3- not really work but kind of. I attended a vision board workshop, which was pretty amazing. It kick-started my motivation, and now I have 9 goals for this year, each with a plan and a timeline. Sometimes you need to take action to FEEL motivated. Action created motivation! Life Update 1 My 10km Queens running group has commenced! We are on week 2, and by the first week of April, we will be running 10km together. Life Update 2 I am nearing the end of my 21-day clean-eating plan, and I have lost about 4kg. I aimed to lose 5kg, but whatever. Life doesn't end. And I am back to a happy weight, which doesn't stress my body out! You can see my weight loss here :) Life Update 3 I am still serious about learning how to make sourdough bread! An old friend turned up to my workshop and hes an expert. He said he would give me a proper class. I am excited! Watch this space :) ps; send any tips you have pls! I want to add that, in order for me to achieve some work and personal goals, I end up falling behind on many other things. Example, replying to emails and messages. I am really sorry if I haven't replied to yours- it's not intentional! Well, that's all I have time to write today, I can see my daughter eating my slipper, and shes lobbed an apple at the family cat. Might need to break up a fight O_O Thanks for reading Aisha Preece from Outandbeyond.com Ps. I've just completed an intensive 5-day training program to become a corporate trainer. I've always loved teaching my strategies in my personal workshops. However, more and more companies have asked me to share strategies tailored to corporate clients. There is also a government grant in Malaysia (where I am currently based), which covers corporate training for companies, but I need to be accredited Anyway, the training was awesome. But one HUGE thing stood out Most of the people there had...
For years, I had a very specific dream. I wanted to work remotely alongside my partner. Two laptops. Flexible schedules. The freedom to work from anywhere. So we planned for it. We saved money.I built the blog business so it could support two full salaries. And eventually, we were able to take a sabbatical together. Around that time, I became pregnant with our daughter. It felt like everything had aligned. My husband left his traditional job and joined me in working online. We moved from...
When I had my daughter, I assumed the hardest part of running my business would be time. I was wrong. The real challenge was mental bandwidth (and energy) 🥶 Before becoming a mom, I could sit down and work for hours. Brainstorm content.Plan projects.Experiment with ideas.Pivot quickly. I could come up with an idea and execute the whole thing in one day because I had 8-10 hours of blissful, uninterrupted TIME Now my work happens in small pockets of time. Two hours during preschool. An hour...
